Changing the Performance

From audience feedback we decided that we wanted to change our performance shots within our music video. The fifth draft performance came across static and unemetional which pulled our overall video quality down. We needed to change the performer to make our video seem as realistic as possible, focusing more on energy and enjoyment. Star image is so important within music videos as you are trying to sell the artist therefore they need to display tones of personality, so they are seen as likeable to the audience. In order to improve our performance aspect we shot the actor a total of three times, running through the entire sone each time so we had enough footage to work with. We did a close up, a mid shot with a guitar (to sell that artists image) and a close/mid shot of the actor dancing, which I think really added character to the performance aspect. The costume and setting was kept the same because we liked the contrast the black background and white t-shirt created as it really made the artist stand out and worked well the seperate the narrative in our video. Overall, I am very happy with how the new performance turned out, however my only concern is that the guitar isn't actually being played properly which could stand out to some viewers.
